To begin the breast cancer screening test, the subject lies on her back on an examining table. Self-adhesive Azura BreastScan™ arrays are applied gently to both breasts; here the first electrode, on the left breast, is shown in place.

 

With the subject lying comfortably, testing is begun. Over 120 combinations of electrodes, one combination at a time, are selected for impedance measurements throughout each breast. The entire procedure is painless, safe, and rapid, and requires less than 5 minutes to complete.
